New York Bight Joint Native American Tribes Communication Plan

We recognize Tribes and Tribal Nations as stewards of the lands and waters of the NY Bight region. We acknowledge and respect their sovereignty, as well as the enduring cultural and personal connections that Tribes and Tribal Nations have to the region. The insights and knowledge of Tribes and Tribal Nations can and should play an important role in the clean energy transition, to help ensure offshore renewable energy is developed in an environmentally, socially, and culturally sensitive manner. Our Joint Native American Tribes Communication Plan (Joint NATCP) was developed with all New York Bight lessees and guides our engagement with federally recognized Tribes and Tribal Nations throughout the lifetime of the project.
